Information about fila3D.ca filaments
Malleable plastic. TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) filament is a highly flexible material that can withstand repetitive impacts and exposure to many chemicals. Parts printed with TPU are highly durable and resistant to heat and cold. This type of filament provides excellent adhesion between layers during printing. In fact, it is advisable to apply a layer of Fila3D glue to your printing plate to help release your print. However, the elasticity of this filament makes it more difficult to print, and it requires higher nozzle and plate temperatures than PLA. A direct drive system is highly recommended. Place the filament spool above your printer to avoid filament tension during printing. This product benefits from a low print speed and a small amount of shrinkage to limit abrupt movements. Spraying your build plate with hairspray can help you achieve better adhesion at the start of printing. This filament is ideal for printing protective cases for cell phones and remote-controlled car tires, which will be very durable. TPU 95A is quite robust and similar to tire rubber.
